What would this world look like if God’s kingdom were to invade planet earth?

God's Kingdom

The first miracle Jesus performed was at a wedding in Cana. It’s interesting that Jesus waited until their resources had run dry before He turned water into wine. We aren’t ready to receive what Jesus has to give until we’ve come to the end of our options.

John Piper, in an article entitled, The Present Power of a Future Possession, wrote, “The cost of food in the kingdom is hunger for the bread of heaven, instead of the white bread of the world. Do you want it? Are you hungry?”

The cost of the new wine that Jesus offered was thirst. Are you thirsty? Do you want something more? If so, when you come to Jesus you have come to the highest place. In God’s kingdom, He is the God of abundance and life. To receive His wine, we must come to Him with our thirst.

This weekend, we will continue our series, Prayer Restored! (restoring Jesus’ vision for our prayers). The second of seven requests in The Lord’s Prayer is, “Your kingdom come!”

What would this world look like if God’s kingdom were to invade planet earth? How would your and my world look different if His kingdom were to come?

When we utter these three words to God the Father in heaven, “Your kingdom come....” Things are going to change! Something miraculous is about to happen! Begin to pray that prayer each day, “Your kingdom come!”

This weekend, I cannot wait to share the wonderful news with you as we beseech the God of heaven and earth ... “Your kingdom come!”
