christmas prayer Prompts

  • Pray for those attending worship services for the first time that they may open their hearts to the message of Jesus’ love and salvation.
  • Pray for those leading and supporting the seven services, that they may have the strength and focus in each service to bring their best self to glorify God.
  • Pray for those who are missing attending in-person worship services and Christmas celebrations with loved ones due to location, Covid, loss and other reasons.
  • Pray for those who are getting ministered to online that they may hear the message of Christmas and fully understand God’s love for us and be encouraged to take their next step of faith.
  • Pray for those who are far away from God due to past hurts, addictions, broken relationships, etc. that their hearts may soften and they may begin to understand the gift of Jesus’s birth and sacrifice for them. Pray that someone in their life can step up to help guide them in their steps of healing.
  • Pray for those grieving in this season–the loss of loved ones, jobs, relationships, and dreams. That they may they find hope and comfort in the message of Christmas.
  • Pray for the courage for each of us who knows Jesus to treat others (especially those we struggle with) with love, respect, and grace. As the death of Jesus allowed God to forgive our sins, may we grow in the forgiveness of others who have hurt us in the past.
  • Pray for those in need of healing in both body, mind and spirit. For those struggling with the anxiety and depression amplified or created by the pandemic, may they find God’s peace amid uncertainty and chaos.
