Connection Pointe Christian Church

Physical Service Option

While we never stopped gathering in spirit, our physical doors are open for those who desire to return to campus. We cannot emphasize enough, that there is no pressure to join in-person and that our primary focus remains online. Whether you join us in-person or online, here are some details to help you decide what's best for you and your loved ones.

Connection Pointe Christian Church will take the following steps and precautions to ensure the safety of staff, volunteers, and attendees:

General

  • The building and Kid City are open for our Sunday 9:15 and 11:15 am ET services with live music and live teaching.
  • The building and Kid City are open on Saturdays for our 5pm ET service with live music and video teaching.
  • Sunday 8am ET services meet in the Chapel with live traditional music and video teaching (No Kid City).
  • Middle School meets on Sundays at 9:15 & 11:15 am ET and High School meets each Sunday at 4:30 pm ET.
  • Enhanced and frequent cleaning and disinfecting will be performed in all areas.
  • All high touch surfaces will be disinfected before/after each service.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be added at key entry points and throughout the building.
  • While masks are optional in our adult services we will have a masked required seating area for those that may feel more comfortable in an area where masks are required.
  • We're discouraging handshakes and hugs, but encouraging waves and smiles!
  • All drinking fountains will be closed.
  • Communion will not be passed, rather we will have prepackaged elements available at the door and will offer a personal Communion time or elements can be taken home.
  • Offering drop boxes will be placed near the exit of The Center, Chapel and at Connection Corner.

Kids

  • All volunteers and staff will be required to wear masks (exception for anyone while on stage).
  • All volunteers and staff will be required to have their temperature taken upon arriving to our campus.
  • All individuals over 2 years of age will wear masks for the remainder of the school year.
  • When possible, kids and students will alternate which small group rooms are used to allow for cleaning.
  • Toys will be alternated between services and cleaned after use.
  • Small group supplies will be organized for each individual child and switched out for the next service. Kid City traffic flow will be directed by signage and rope stanchions.
  • Diapers, wipes and extra clothes will be provided by Kid City. Parents should keep diaper bags and other non-essential items with them. No personal items will be left for kids (bags, toys, food).
  • Gloves will be required for volunteers for Sweet Shop and Park snack distribution.
  • Parents will be asked to show the parent claim tag at the door next to the child's tag so volunteer does not need to touch the child or their tag.
  • Kids will be encouraged to use hand sanitizer in each small group room.
  • Studio and Pier large room games will be sanitized after each use.
  • Social distancing will be encouraged.
  • Lighthouse sensory room "buddy bags" will be assigned to kids, and toys will be cleaned after each use.
