Family Promise of Hendricks County works to transform  the lives of families experiencing homelessness and poverty in Hendricks County by providing housing, stability services and homelessness prevention, with the goal of achieving sustainable independence.  Over the past few months of Covid-19, Family Promise was closed and had to spend a ton of their resources housing families in extended stay hotels.  Over the past week they were just able to place 3 families in a trailer park community in Avon.  None of these families including one with a newborn baby had air conditioning.  In addition to providing several immediate needs like basic household items, and food and gas cards, your generosity also allowed us to purchase window air conditioning units for these families along with several additional home cooling units for some other families in need.
